Sour makes delicious: sumac, which is also called “Sicilian sugar” despite its acidity, is particularly common in the eastern Mediterranean and is often served as a table seasoning in Turkey. To produce it, the red pulp of the evergreen dye tree is dried and ground into powder.
Our sumac impresses with its pleasant acidity, which is perfectly complemented by fruity to slightly bitter notes. Our raw materials come from selected farmers in Sicily who proudly and happily share their traditional spices with the world.
